Advantech ADAM 4000/5000 Series DataNode
The Signature System™ readily interfaces with and acquires data from the popular Advantech ® ADAM-4000 and -5000 series data acquisition and control modules. This added feature enables the Signature System to record process control environment parameters such as temperature, pressure, rotation, torque, tension, speed, vibration, and pulse counts at approximately a one-second sample rate.
Features & Highlights
The ADAM-4000 series modules interface through RS-485 to an InfoNode ® . The ADAM-5000 series system is a backplane configuration. Any combination of 5000 series plug-in modules may be used to monitor various types of applications. The 5000 series is one of the most diverse and flexible DA&C systems and is available in four or eight slot configurations. Both are equipped with CPU, Watchdog Timer, RS-232 & RS-485 (x2) interfaces, error checking, system diagnostics and diagnostic display.
Comprehensive Facility Process Monitoring
By integrating ADAM modules with power quality and energy DataNodes ® , the Signature System enables users to correlate process and operational data with power quality phenomena and/or energy load information. Key benefits include the ability to:
Monitor the factory/building—View and trend data from the ADAM modules along with power quality for all aspects of the building ’s operation including assembly lines,motors and commercial processes.
Centralize all monitoring—The Signature System enables you to monitor all points of the building process and all aspects of the power from a single location via the web.
Trend the power and the process—View the quality of the power in the factory against the data from the factory floor.Correlate these parameters to identify and prevent power-related production problems in specific areas.
