Power Systems Modeling and Simulation

Understanding the generation and propagation of PQ disturbances in utility and customer electrical power systems is accomplished through modeling and simulation of power systems and their loads. Electrotek PQ engineers have extensive knowledge in power system studies addressing transmission capacity and voltage stability, power system performance, distribution system analysis and planning and interconnection studies. Electrotek develops and implements a number of power system and PQ software tools designed to model and simulate systems and the effects of PQ phenomena. These tools combined with other software tools such as ElectroMagnetic Transients Program (EMTP) allow our engineers to understand the generation and effects of power system transients and other PQ disturbance phenomena in efforts to manage and control the generation and propagation of disturbances before they reach customer facilities.
